Georgia Martin’s dream of being a model has come true.

The 15-year-old from Taree said modelling has always been a passion she wanted to pursue and has been given that opportunity through Country Girl Management.

Country Girl Management is a company that offers confidence campaigns and modelling search and scout programs which are held in over 60 cities and towns across Australia and New Zealand.

In August 2017, Georgia applied to participate in one of the campaigns held in Newcastle.

“After a day of workshops, photo shoots and catwalks I ended up being the winner of the preliminary event and got offered the opportunity to go to the Gold Coast for the National Final,” said Georgia.

Country Girl has changed who I am for the better and made me feel so much more confident with who I am.

“The National Final is held across three days with over 120 girls from all over Australia and New Zealand.”

The three days were jammed packed full of workshops, fitness/ nutrition seminars, photo shoots, catwalk classes and confidence building workshops.

On the final night of the three days there was a runway show held at the Star Casino on the Gold Coast, with a judging panel and attended by agents from managements as well as winners from previous years.

“To conclude the night was an award ceremony where I was fortunate enough to be selected in the top 30 out of 120 girls and had the incredible opportunity to have meet and greets with modelling agencies the following morning.

“I was extremely excited to be the winner at my preliminary event in Newcastle along with being in the top 30 on the Gold Coast.”

Georgia said she learned a lot from both events and highly recommends giving it a go to any girl who is looking to get into the industry or to build some confidence and make amazing friendships.

“The most important value I took out of these events was that you should always feel comfortable and confident in your own skin.

“Country Girl has taught me that being confident and loving yourself makes life so much better and makes you feel so much better within yourself.

“I know that before I walked into those doors in Newcastle I was shy and anxious and didn’t like the way I looked but not I have learnt to be happy with who I am.

The most important value I took out of these events was that you should always feel comfortable and confident in your own skin.

“By the time I got to the Gold Coast I was more confident with who I was and my anxiety about how I looked was gone.

“Country Girl has changed who I am for the better and made me feel so much more confident with who I am,” she said.

“The program helps so many girls across Australia and New Zealand do just the same.

“To have modelling be my full time career would be a dream come true and I will keep striving until I achieve it.”
