It is customary at the commencement of a new year to make resolutions which the participant hopes to execute during the incoming year.

There isn’t any compulsion attached as it is entirely voluntary but certain merit can be attained by the individual if these well meaning resolutions are maintained.
Some resolutions can be easily kept, only a matter of discipline – not eating to excess, cessation of a bad habit, a resolve to be more courteous whilst driving or riding, more patient with others on or off the road. All these are most worthy or worthwhile resolutions.
The recent fatalities over the holiday period show a lack of some of these characteristics.
I’m afraid I haven’t been guiltless regarding some of these resolves which is why I am rather cautious to make them or presumptuous enough to predict my future, not knowing what tomorrow will bring let alone the future.
Rather I would resolve to live and let live, keep myself alive and healthy and travel slowly as I don’t know what’s around the corner.
