The club is inviting pony clubbers and visitors to dress up not only themselves, but their ponies and horses in blue for the day.
Why blue? Because they are fundraising for Dolly’s Dream Foundation – a new anti-bullying foundation in memory of Amy ‘Dolly’ Everett, the 14-year-old girl who recently committed suicide due to cyber-bullying. The story made headline news as she was the ‘face’ of Akubra.
Blue food and drinks will also feature on the fun day, with some of the proceeds of sales going toward Dolly’s Dream.
Children who have never attended pony club are invited to turn up, bring their ponies, and join in the games of the day, just for fun. Organisers say they want the day to be a fun day, rather than a training day.
Registration begins at 9am at Wingham Showground, with the fun starting around an hour afterward.
