The morning will include an Australia Day breakfast, a speech from Australia Day Ambassador paralympian swimmer Taylor Corry, award presentations and a Citizenship Ceremony.
Ms Corry will address the crowd with an inspirational speech as part of the Australia Day Ambassador Program designed to support the growth of Australia Day celebrations by sending high achieving and proud Australians to ceremonies around NSW.
And for the first time since Katheryn Smith has been involved with council, Gloucester is including a Citizenship Ceremony as part of the program.
“I think it’s a great addition to the day,” she said.
The MidCoast Council deputy mayor will be performing the ceremony with the assistance of Federal Member for Lyne, David Gillespie.
The day will also include the regular favourites, like the Best Dressed and Colouring-In Competition, Best Business window display, Project of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, the cutting of the Australia Day cake and the Pool Gala Evening
