The $2.6 million project – between Black Head Road and Diamond Beach Drive – was completed in time for the peak holiday period.

Inspecting the completed work, Member for Lyne, David Gillespie said the project would better cater to increased traffic volumes and provide a safer route for local cyclists.
“MidCoast Council is using funds from the Federal Coalition government’s increased investment in the Roads to Recovery program to undertake this important local project and I’m delighted to see how much this road will be improved for local motorists and cyclists when work winds up over the coming days,” Dr Gillespie said.
“At a Federal level, we’ve increased funding for a number of programs including the Roads to Recovery program, which is delivering millions of dollars towards local road projects in the MidCoast Council area.”
