A sausage sizzle will he hosted at 1pm by the Lansdowne Rural Fire Brigade with the proceeds going to the fire brigade.

There will be plenty of entertainment for the whole family with games, face painting, cricket, lawn bowls and much more on the day. You can phone the club for further details.

Barefoot twilight bowls will commence at the Lansdowne Bowling club on January 18.

Starting time will be 4pm. These twilight bowls will be run until the end of daylight savings. It is only $5 entry fee and if you do not have lawn bowls the club will provide them for the evening.

The Lansdowne Fishing Club held its fishing outing last weekend with only two members weighing in on Sunday.

Tom Henry caught two flathead with a total weight of 0.6kg with the biggest weighing 0.4kg.

Steve Henry caught two whiting and one flathead with a total weight of 1.1kg with the largest whiting weighing 0.4kg and the flathead weighing 0.4kg.

Saturday, January 13 is the fishing club’s next seafood raffle with 10 seafood trays and 10 meat trays to be drawn at 6.30pm.
