“I’m hoping for 5000 for our first year, I think if that happens it’s a great result and it definitely gives us enthusiasm to make this an annual event on not only the Forster Tuncurry calendar, but also the world touring calendar.
“It’s slowly manifesting into a great concert site and I think that we’ve got more than satisfactory numbers of toilets and bar staff, bar facilities and there will be about ten food outlets. The weather report is saying it’s going to be a lovely day, so everything is pointing to a great day.
“It goes without saying that we want a nice family friendly experience, it’s important that we are invited back by the community. Being the kind of show it is and the type of audience we anticipate to get, when the township is enthusiastic to get involved these sorts of events tend to run pretty smoothly.
“We’ve held 1000 tickets for the gate, there will be free shuttle buses going all day, so we’ve done what we can. There will be plenty of free fresh water, and we’ll bring in some shade so hopefully everyone has a really comfortable, enjoyable experience. What we learn from this year will make it bigger and better next year.”
The event will kick off with local musicians, before a star-studded lineup including Dallas Crane, Ash Grunwald, Richard Clapton, Diesel, Richie Sambora with Orianthi, and Jimmy Barnes will take to the stage to close the show at 8:15.
Gates will open at 1pm, with free shuttle buses available travelling to and from the venue.
If you don’t have a ticket yet and want to just jump on one of the free buses and come along there will be tickets available.
