Grunwald has been a regular in the Great Lakes over a number of years and is excited to return.
“I've performed many times in the Great Lakes area and I really love it,” he said.
“I have had many gigs at the Pacific Palms RSL which have always been super fun, and I've played a really cool outdoor festival in Forster-Tuncurry,” he said.
“I was also a part of a project called "Life Like Liquid" where I stayed with a bunch of other musicians at Boomerang Beach and we surfed and jammed all day and night and recorded it all which was awesome.”
He will be joined by rock heavyweights Jimmy Barnes, Richie Sambora, Orianthi, Diesel, Richard Clapton and Dallas Crane for the event.
He said to be on the same ticket as Barnes is a dream come true.
“Yeah it's a really amazing line up and most of all I'm really stoked to be playing with Jimmy Barnes who's just such a legend.”

“In late 2017 I was lucky enough to support Midnight Oil so it feels like ticking off yet another Aussie rock bucket list thing to be playing with Barnsey.”
Grunwald has a busy schedule to kick off 2018 but said he wouldn’t have it any other way.
“I love playing festivals full stop, no matter whether they're in cities or way off in the country, or in Timbuktu really,” he said.
“Most people come to festivals to be festive, which is always really enjoyable.”
Grunwald revealed he is working on a new album and has already released two singles from it.
“So stay tuned for the whole album release, it will be in the next few months,” he said.
Tickets to Under the Southern Stars are available at Ticketmaster.
