An ambulance and a vehicle were involved in a head-on collision on the Bucketts Way, Krambach on New Year’s Day (January 1).

The incident occurred at 4am and resulted in the vehicle catching fire.
A 38-year-old male driver was ejected from the vehicle and was taken to Manning Hospital.
He was later transported to John Hunter Hospital.
Two paramedics were injured in the incident, with one taken to Manning Hospital and the other to John Hunter Hospital.
Road closures were in place but were cleared later in the morning.
Meanwhile, three people were transported to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle on December 30 following a motor vehicle accident on the Pacific Highway, Nabiac.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter airlifted an 89-year-old woman with an arm injury and a 57-year-old woman with spinal and arm injuries, while a third person was transported by ambulance to Newcastle.
The patients were in a stable condition.
