Penrith and Manly will join Mid North Coast, Far North Coast,Tamworth, Roseville, West Pennant Hills and defending champions Hunter Valley to battle it out for junior cricket supremacy.
The carnival will be once again hosted by the Manning Junior Cricket Association, with games to be played in Taree, Wingham, Chatham, Old Bar, Tuncurry and Harrington.
All games will played in 50 over format.
The carnival has produced high quality cricket over the years and boasted a number of players who have gone on to higher honours.
Current Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood featured in the 2005 and 2006 competitions as did Manning product Nick Larkin.
The carnival is named after Stan Austin who was one of the founders of junior cricket in the Manning District 59 years ago.
In round one, Far North Coast will take on Tamworth at John Martin Oval, West Pennant Hills clash with Roseville at Old Bar Turf, Manly play Hunter Valley at South Street Oval in Tuncurry and Penrith battle it out with Mid North Coast at Esmond Hogan Oval in Harrington.
A presentation will take place at the conclusion of the final on January 11 at the John Martin Oval grandstand.
The Manning Junior Cricket Association has thanked the Manning River Umpires and Scorers Association for their assistance, volunteer curators, MidCoast Council, all sponsors and welcomed all teams, managers, scorers, parents and supporters.
