While most people in the community were busily finalising Christmas shopping and turkey basting in preparation for the festive season, Great Lakes graffiti buster Ted Bickford was wrapping up another project.

With the influx of visitors to the area, along with school holidays and the bustle of the festive season, there has been a spike in graffiti across the Great Lakes, which is keeping Ted busy.
“We have had a bad run of vandalism in the area,” Ted said.
“In one night there were 74 different places in the area that were hit with graffiti, the skate park will take me at least five hours to clean, and it is usually spotless. It’s such a shame for something like this to happen, especially at this time of year. Our community is so good at keeping the town free of graffiti, it only takes one or two people to ruin that for everyone.”
Ted is appealing to the community to help him keep on top of the graffiti over the coming weeks of the holiday period, by alerting him to any sightings of vandalism as soon as possible.
“It is imperative that people ring me so I can get it off straight away, we need a united front to keep our graffiti-free town spotless, the way it is the rest of the year,” he said.
Ted requests that anyone who sees the unruly scribbles around town to call him immediately on 0408 440 309. He is also always on the lookout for volunteers to help him preserve the graffiti-free zone he has spent many years creating.
