The Kidpreneur Challenge is a national video pitch competition for primary school students, showcasing their entrepreneurial capacity, and business idea creativity.
The students had to build a business from scratch during term three and the challenge was to make enough money selling handmade products at a market day to payback business costs and make a profit to donate to a charity or local cause.
Ruby Dunn and Amber Northam's business was Seaside Scents, providing a range of scented candles made in local Old Bar shells.
Jemma Holley and Pia Anker's Treasure Chest business, sold gender neutral accessories based on current child toy trends.
The purpose of the challenge is to connect Kidpreneurs across the nation, to showcase their businesses and ideas to a wide audience, and to encourage reflective learning on their journey.
To enter the Kidpreneur Challenge, students create a 90 second to two minute video pitch reflecting on their business experience and what they have learnt.
It also needed to creatively showcase their business and product.
The students were judged against criteria typical for how an entrepreneur would pitch an idea to investors.
The Old Bar teams were among 10 winning video pitches chosen by a panel of entrepreneurs.
Carole Isaacs from the Old Bar Manning Point Business and Community Association attended the school to present the girls with their awards
The students have won:

- A gift voucher to help buy raw materials for their next product line,
