This is one of the highest sporting awards in the Catholic schools system and follows the NSWCCC Blue he received last year.
The presentation will be on February 12 at St Paul’s Catholic College in Manly.
Mudford, 18, completed his HSC at St Clare’s High School in Taree this year. He toured South Africa with the Australian All Schools under 16s last year. He was named the Manning River Times-Greater Taree City Council (Ken McDonald Memorial) Sportstar of the Year for 2015 following his selection in the Australian side.
This year he was a member of the NSW under 18 team beaten in the final by a Pakistan national side at the Australian championships. He was also a member of the victorious NSW CCC side in the tri series against State and independent school teams. He’ll move to Sydney next year to train with the Australian Futures squad and will also play for a premier league club.
