Volunteers are needed to take part in the mini bee that will begin at 10am and run for a few hours, says event co-ordinator Bree Katsamangos.

The garden recently held its Great Family Garlic Pull on November 26 and harvested around 40 kilograms of garlic. Around 30 people gathered at the garden in Wynter Street to help pull the garlic from the ground and complete general garden maintenance tasks. As the event was only a few weeks ago, the December 17 event is promoted as a mini bee as there may be fewer tasks to complete.
Mrs Katsamangos says that to take part in the mini bee you must wear sturdy enclosed shoes, sun protection and bring a pair of garden gloves.
