This year, Santa’s mode of transport was a mower and one of the organisers, Amanda Tate from LJ Hooker, said he was mobbed a little by children when he got there.
“Santa was a big hit. Even the adults were excited when he arrived and everyone was waving glow sticks,” she said.
An estimated 4500 to 5000 people attended Taree’s carols, an even bigger crowd than last year.
“People were arriving early and everyone was buying from the stalls and that goes back into putting the event on.
“I think everybody enjoyed themselves, you could see it on their faces and they were singing along to the carols. The crew also had a great time.”
“The fireworks were sensational, the two Jeremys (hosts Jeremy Miller and Jeremy Thornton) were just great.
“Mick Saunders gave his life story and how his life changed growing up as he became a Christian. It was a wonderful as a Christmas message.”
“Sound and lighting was by Aurora Show FX and the music was organised by Leanne Ralston, who did an amazing job.”
The talent on stage included school choirs, dance groups, singers of all ages, the band and Gymaroos
With so much talent in the area, Amanda said they will be taking registrations from people interested in performing next year and ask those people to get in touch with LJ Hooker.
