Christmas Bazaar

The Old Bar annual Christmas Bazaar is just over a week away.

From 5.30pm on Thursday, December 21, come along to the Old Bar shopping precinct and enjoy the extended hours shop trading, market stalls and live entertainment.

Invite your family, friends and customers.

If you would like to set up a free stall at the Bazaar, or know of someone else who would like to do likewise, please email their details to info@obmp.com.au.

The Lions Club of Old Bar Beach will be providing food with a barbecue and Mr Whippy will be there for dessert.

Entertainment will be provided by singers, ukulele players and dancers.

Surfin' Santa will be arriving at 6pm to give out gifts to children.

Shop local for Christmas

The Old Bar Manning Point Business and Community Association urges you to have a look around your local shops when thinking about Christmas shopping.

There are many opportunities to purchase gifts which are unique.

Murloc Jewellers, Old Bar Newsagency and Old Bar Pharmacy all have a great range of items. The Post Office and Old Bar Cellars are also able to offer many items suitable as gifts.

Gift vouchers can be purchased from most businesses, including the restaurants.

Shop local if you can. By doing so you support your own community.

Heartfit takes a break

The weekly Old Bar Heartfit classes will take a break over the holiday period.

Next Monday, December 18 will be the last class for 2017.

Classes will resume on Monday, January 15 in 2018.

Taste looking for art and craft

Taste at Old Bar is looking for ways to further support the local community.

If you have art, craft, sculpture or food items that you would like to display for sale, talk to the operators of this fine restaurant, Ria Adermann or Michelle Green, at 31 Old Bar Rd or call them on 6557 4566.

This is a good way to display and sell your efforts at a pleasant venue.
