The Rotary Club of Taree has initiated a new community project that is focused on collecting ‘dead’ lead acid batteries from around the Manning Valley.
The club’s ‘battery muster’ will ensure the safe collection of the batteries from homes, farms and businesses by calling the disposal team on 0484 190 939. Batteries will be safely handled and recycled.
Facts:
- 98 per cent of a lead acid car battery is recyclable.
- 100 per cent of the proceeds from this recycling will be used to support local community projects.
So help the Rotary Club of Taree help others by calling 0484 190 939 to arrange collection.
