District veterinarian for Manning-Great Lakes, Dr Lyndell Stone is keen to share a strong preventive health message.
“This can be a challenging environment for owners of small ruminants, but with good biosecurity practices, good grazing management, and effective parasite management and vaccination programs, most of the problems we see can be avoided,” she said.
Small ruminant specialist and Lower Hunter District veterinarian, Dr Kylie Greentree, will join Dr Stone at Krambach on Monday, December 11 for an information packed morning of presentations and answering questions.
They will cover common small ruminant health issues in the district and how to prevent them, planning a vaccination “insurance policy”, best practice parasite management strategies, and how to protect your farm from pests and disease with good biosecurity practices.
Morning tea will be provided.
