Christmas themed Storytime sessions will take place at Taree, Gloucester, Wingham, Hallidays Point, Forster, Stroud and Tea Gardens Libraries and will include stories, songs, craft and morning tea.
"There will be lots of stories, songs and Christmas craft at our Storytimes - it's a lovely way to finish off the year and get ready for the holidays" said council's community outreach librarian, Debbie Horgan.
At Forster Library, the U3A Puppeteers will entertain children with their colourful interactive Christmas puppet show. Parents/grandparents and carers are welcome to come along with their pre-school children and babies and enjoy this delightful show which ends with a visit and treat from Santa. Bring a small plate of food to share at Forster Library and we will provide drinks and some snacks.
The sessions take place at the libraries at:
- Wingham and Gloucester on Monday, December 4
- Forster on Wednesday, December 6
- Taree and Harrington on Thursday, December 7
- Hallidays Point and Stroud on Friday, December 8
- Tea Gardens on Monday, December 11

Storytime sessions run all year (during school terms) at MidCoast libraries and are a fabulous family activity which supports development of early literacy skills and encourages families to read with their children.
There's a break during the summer school holidays, but they'll be back in February 2018 - keep an eye on the website for details.
These are free events and there's no need to book - just come along with your Christmas cheer!
