Macquarie’s bowlers restricted United to 110 in reply to 166 in the clash at Chatham Park.
Josh Hyde again led the way for the Macquarie batsmen, scoring 65.
Tom Burley took three wickets for United. In reply United were bowled out for 110. The wicket takers for Macquarie were Sam Dwyer with 4/15 and Hyde with 3/13 in a good all-round performance.
At Andrews Park in Wauchope, Nulla produced a win over Wauchope. Wauchope struggled with the bat before Jason Blythe hit an unbeaten 47 from just 38 balls. Nulla’s best bowler was Ben Taylor who spun his way to 5/31. With nine wickets in his last two games, Taylor is showing his match winning ability. Nulla’s batsmen all chipped in to win the game in the 36th over. Dan Baker was best with 35 from 23 balls.
Oxley Oval in Port Macquarie hosted Rovers against Taree West. Taree West batted and scored 9/166. Skipper Josh Meldrum led the way with 75. For Rovers Jarrod Prosper took a season best 5/32. The pressure was on the winless Rovers to produce with the bat, and they did, scoring 7/168. Best was Ethan Dowling with 69 from only 49 balls. Ryan Williams continued his excellent form with 3/28 for Taree West.
