This position is currently held by Brian Rix from Lismore in the Northern Rivers Rugby League (NRRL).
Group Two and Three and the NRRL make up East Coast.
Mr Bridge was appointed to his 11th term as Group Three chairman at the annual meeting held this month.
It is now known if Group Two president Warren Gilkinson will run for the regional position.
Mr Bridge confirmed that for representative football for under 16s, 18s, women’s league tag and under 23s the North Coast will be made up of players from Groups Two and Three and will be known as the East Coast Dolphins. The Northern Rivers Rugby League will stand alone in representative fixtures, while still part of the region.
Mr Bridge said a similar situation has occurred in the southern section of the State, with the old Monaro division resurrected in the Bidgee Bulls Region for representative games.
“That makes 10 regional teams for the representative program,’’ Mr Bridge explained.
A date has yet to be determined for the annual Group Two/Group Three fixtures next year where the North Coast under 23 and league tag teams will be selected.
