The competition was a great success, with 26 teams entered over three categories.
The categories of the competition were beach and rock, bluewater, and estuary.
Craig Jones and Ken Jones took out first place in the bluewater category, with a total weight of 7.8 kilograms.
Second place in the bluewater category went to Wayne O’Neill and Jaxon Mawson, who had a total weight of 0.5 kilograms.
In the beach and rock category, Eli Nash and Alex Neale sealed first place with a total weight of 17.6kg, and were closely followed by Wayne Reeve and Chris Wright who caught a total weight of 15.9 kilograms.
The winners of the estuary category were Greg Chick and William Martin with a total weight of 9.6 kilograms.
Close behind this pair were Peter Hayes and Dan Versluis, who took out second place with a total weight of 7.4 kilograms.
Third place in estuary was awarded to Howard Hammond and Brett Green, who had a total weight of 6.3 kilograms.
Heaviest fish in bluewater went to Craig Jones and Ken Jones with a Barcod weighing 7.8 kilograms.
The heaviest Fish in the beach and rock category was caught by Wayne Reeve and Chris Wright, and was a Blue Groper weighing 6.1 kilograms.
Wayne O’Neill and Jaxon Mawson took out heaviest fish in the estuary category with a Mulloway (jewfish) weighing 4.5 kilograms.
The next Lansdowne fishing club outing will be on the weekend of December 2-3, with the weigh in at 2pm on the Sunday.
On Saturday, November 25 there will be a $50 seafood tray added to this week’s raffle. The raffle will be drawn at 6.30pm at the Lansdowne Bowling and Recreation club.
Lansdowne bowls results
Congratulations to husband and wife team Alan and Jo Crittenden who won the bowls king and queen bowls trophy.
Friday social darts
Lansdowne Friday evening social darts was won by Merve Turner this week.
The runner up was Wayne Bell.
The ladies highest score was won by Hettie Moran on 100, and the men’s winner is Wayne Bell on 121.
Upper Lansdowne community concert
A very successful concert was held last Sunday afternoon at the Upper Lansdowne Community hall.
Fred Smith and Mat Brooker provided an amazing afternoon of entertainment for those who attended.
Upper Lansdowne is getting very popular for music lovers to go along and be able to hear such talent in our own backyard and on a regular basis.
A great afternoon tea was also a big hit at the concert.
The Upper Lansdowne Hall committee have a line up of some wonderful events in the coming months.

Christmas party
The Upper Lansdowne Christmas party is scheduled to be held again this year on December 2.
The festivities of the evening will commence at 6.30pm at the Upper Lansdowne Community hall.
Community members are invited to go along to the party and catch up with friends and neighbours.
The party will also be a great opportunity for any new residents in the area to get to know everyone. It is very informal and is a great family fun night. Take along a plate to share and your own drinks.
