Get your information out - Old Bar News
The CTC @ Old Bar can get your information out to the local community through this column. The Manning River Times kindly publishes local events and news which can be e-mailed to ctcoldbar@gmail.com or dropped in at our centre at Shop 5, 45 Old Bar Road beside Luriyas Thai Restaurant.
This column appears each Wednesday in the Manning River Times. It is for our community news. Organisations, clubs, groups and individuals are encouraged to submit articles and photographs for inclusion to make it more interesting. Deadline for articles is 4pm Friday for publication on the following Wednesday.
Use the graffiti hotline
Old Bar residents are encouraged to use the state government graffiti hotline to report any occurrence of graffiti they see. Old Bar has not been seriously affected by this form of vandalism but early reporting and removal helps make the practice unattractive. Let’s all help to keep Old Bar attractive.
Before calling, take particular notice of the exact address or location, nearest cross street, the size of the affected area, the type of medium used eg spray paint or marking pen and if the words or images are offensive.
Graffiti in the public toilets in Apex Park has been reported twice recently and rectified within a few days on both occasions. Call 1800 707 125. Once you have made the first call and registered your details with them, subsequent calls will be shorter. Get behind it and do your town a favour.
