Bream can be found in all parts of the river and flathead are moving toward the river mouth.
Whiting are to be caught in the lagoon on nipper or popper lures. The beaches have been quiet with Crowdy producing bream on the northern end towards Diamond Head and whiting on the southern end near the surf club.
Outside anglers have been scoring good catches of snapper from the northern grounds as well as some nice trag.
Flathead are still being caught on the drift and a few bonito have made an appearance and are taking trolled lures.
