The event coincided with World Tsunami Awareness Day and provided residents with information about tsunamis, different types of threats and evacuation methods.
One such highlight was the Old Bar tsunami evacuation maps.
NSW SES Mid North Coast region community engagement coordinator Steve Lawrence said the maps give residents a guide to the points of evacuation if a tsunami occurs.
“The maps have been developed by the NSW State Emergency Service as a guide and an estimate as to the areas for people that they would need to move away from if there was a land threat tsunami,” he said.
The map is available on the NSW SES website.
