More than 75 invited members of the community were at the Wingham Golf Club with member for Myall Lakes, Stephen Bromhead welcoming the Premier and all those in attendance.
Ms Berejiklian said she was thrilled to get the invitation and told the audience it was her first time in Wingham.
“You have a wonderful town,” she said.
There were no big announcements, as some attendees had hoped, though Ms Berejiklian took the time to answer a few questions from the community.
Better transport, an update on the upgrading of Wingham Brush, Jobs for NSW and a plee for help with cardiovascular outcomes in the Manning Great Lakes region were the topics chosen by the community to discuss.
After the questions the formalities were relaxed and afternoon tea was served.
The Premier then mingled and chatted and the guests talked amongst themselves.
“I thought there would be an opportunity for more questions,” said Wingham museum volunteer John Wooldridge who had hoped to ask the Premier a question regarding the Department of Fair Trading.
Susan Ryan, Lesley Steel and Jennie Cameron were guests who seemed quite taken by Ms Berejiklian.
“She seems really genuine,” said Susan.
The three ladies agreed they were pleased that Stephen Bromhead had obviously spent the day showing the Premier around the local area pointing out projects which need funding.
“I’m just pleased they’ve got some money to spend in the country,” said Lesley.
