The Bureau of Meteorology has issued warnings of possible severe thunderstorms, merging into super cells, across New South Wales on Thursday, October 26.
On Wednesday night and Thursday morning, storms rumbled across the valley and some heavy falls. Hail was reported at Coopernook.
Mitch Taylor reported three to four inch hailstones at Rainbow Flat - “Sky went black in minutes and then we were bombarded,” he said.
Jim Murphy was unlucky to be driving when the storm hit. “We got caught in one just north of Coopernook and have dents all over my car from hail,” he reported.
Keryn Brace reported that Hallidays Point was “smashed” by one storm, then a second one later, though “only small stuff”.
