A CENTURY in each innings by Nick Larkin highlighted the drawn Toyota Futures League cricket clash between NSW Metro and ACT/NSW Country at Manuka Oval in Canberra on Thursday.
Larkin’s unbeaten 129 which came off just 164 deliveries with 14 fours followed his 189 in the first innings, allowing ACT/NSW Country to declare at 3-244, a lead of 289.
NSW Metro fell short in the run chase finishing the day 7-242 with Daniel Solway making 90 (104 balls) and Joshua Clarke 55 (56 balls).
A flurry of late runs and wickets wasn’t enough for either side with the match finishing in a draw.
ACT/NSW Country travel to take on WA at Richardson Park in round two on November 6 to 9.
Larkin, from Taree, is captain of the Sydney University side in the Sydney Premier League.
