Construction of the contemporary multi-learning space will begin after Higher School Certificate exams end. The new building will be built on the St Vincent Street side of the school, the school basketball court will be moved closer to the physical education facilities and one building will be demolished.

Principal Peter Nicholls said it would “be a little time before work begins to impact on school life.”
“Because of the scope of the project many of our usual practices and procedures will have to be adjusted to meet the needs of contractors and other workers on the project.”
Mr Nicholls said the first part of the project would include the construction of basketball courts beside the hall a remodelling of student toilets.
“A number of rooms will be demolished during the project and small relocatable buildings will be placed on site to allow the usual business of the school to continue while construction occurs.
“Students and staff will have to be flexible in their thinking and ready to adjust to regular changes in the configuration of the school grounds and school timetable.”
