The upgrade works involve the installation of a new floating pontoon, to be undertaken by Reece Family Holdings under MidCoast Council’s management.
Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 16, and is expected to continue over four weeks subject to favourable weather conditions.
“Installation of the new pontoon will make it easier to launch and retrieve boats, so these improvements will be welcomed by the large number of boaties who use the ramp frequently,” Rhett Pattison, MidCoast Council’s projects and engineering manager said. “We have timed the project to be completed in time for the peak Christmas holiday tourist season.”
The ramp will be closed during the work and is expected to reopened and be fully accessible from Monday, November 13.
This project has been funded through the NSW’s Government’s $37.5 million Boating Now program.
