Rescue helicopter called to farm accident at Wards River

Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called out to Wards River, south of Gloucester, on Saturday, September 30 after reports of a farm accident.

A 69-year-old man was flown to John Hunter Hospital after he had fallen in a paddock.

It was reported that the man was moving stock around 11.30am when its believed his leg was caught up in a hole.

He was treated by paramedics and the helicopter’s clinical team for hip and leg injuries and was reported to be in a stable condition.
