MidCoast Council closes Manning Point beach 4WD access

Obtaining a beach vehicle access permit not only gives you entry to a range of beautiful, unspoilt beaches across the MidCoast region, but it also comes with being responsible and agreeing to comply with beach rules.

Despite continued efforts to repair ongoing damage to the 4WD vehicle access ramp at Manning Point, MidCoast Council has advised it is now closed indefinitely.

Council said the extent of the erosion in this area is severe and has rendered the access point unsafe.

Until the beach has recovered sufficiently, there is no certainty about when the access ramp will be reopened.

Visitors to Farquhar Park have been asked to note that while access by boat is possible, vehicle access is unavailable.
