This will also be the first grand final played at night, with the game kicking off at 7.30.
Wallis stormed into the decider when thrashing minor premiers Macleay Valley 5-1 in the final played at the Zone Field at Taree on Tuesday night. The game was abandoned at Kempsey last Saturday when spectators, players and officials became involved in an altercation during the second half. The score was 0-0 at the time.
Wallis Lake are the defending premiers but had an inconsistent start to 2017. However, the side clicked into gear in the last fortnight of the competition-proper, beating Macleay and Camden Haven in the last two rounds. Wallis finished fifth on goal differential, but accounted for Taree, Port Saints and now Macleay in the finals series.
Port United were third at the end of the season-proper and beat Port Saints and Macleay to gain the first spot in the grand final.
