The specially convened meeting will be held at the Winning Post Function Centre.
If this is successful it will be the next step to the formation of the Manning Valley Race Club. This club would be the third largest out of 125 clubs controlled by Racing NSW Country.
Manning Valley would run 22 meetings a year, 21 with full TAB coverage.
However, this will have to be ratified by 75 per cent of Taree-Wingham’s 168 members, although club chairman Greg Coleman can’t foresee any problems.
Should the vote favour the merger the clubs will begin a integration process from October 1. The club would also have a board consisting of nine members – five from Taree and four from Krambach. All executive positions will be determined by vote before January 1. The new club's first race meeting will be Thursday January 4.
