Another section of the long awaited footpath from the Old Bar CBD to the beach has been completed. All construction materials have been removed and it is now in use by cyclists, skateboarders and pedestrians. The newly completed section is from the Cross Street intersection to the Ungala Road intersection. Preparations have begun for further works east of this section.
Annual general meeting
The AGM of the Old Bar Manning Point Business and Community Association will be held at the Surf Club at 4pm on Sunday, September 24. Not only businesses are encouraged to join, but members of the community with an interest in progressing our town are now actively sought.
This meeting will be your best opportunity to hear firsthand what the Chamber of Commerce, now the OBMPBCA, has achieved and some of the things that it is working towards.
Last Craft for term three
Today at Craft at Old Bar, Lea will show us how to crochet beautiful butterflies which can be used as brooches or decorations, or perhaps hung on mobiles to amuse babies. The possibilities are endless. You will need to bring a four-millimetre crochet hook, two or three different colours of wool (smaller lengths) and either craft wire or pipe cleaners to match butterfly colours.
This is our last craft for term three. Craft will be in recess for the school holidays, resuming in term four on October 18. For more information please ring 6553 2500 or 0415 785 608.
