The final eight sides in the State played off in the finals, with Taree winning their first game against Kirrawee 3-0 in a comprehensive display. Taree then had a tenacious 4-3 result over former NSW champions Mulwaree to move through to the final against the formidable Westfield Sports. Lara Watts scored the opening goal in the final however, Westfield levelled. With around three minutes remaining Kalani Cross broke the deadlock for Taree and while Westfield turned up the heat in the time remaining the Taree defence was equal to the task, with captain Tahni Walters outstanding.
It’s understood all but three members of the side will be available again next year.
The team is coached by Jamie Harris.
Wingham HS finished in fifth position.
