Her first walk was from Saint-Jean-pied-de-port in France to Cape Finisterre in Spain.
This time, it’ll be a 320 kilometres journey from Sydney Airport to Fotheringham Park, Taree.
She will begin on Sunday, September 24 and conclude on Saturday, October 7.
Amanda doesn’t have any specific plans to stop along the way, but is determined to walk at least 25 kilometres a day.
“On an adventure like this, I think its really important to be as open and flexible as possible, that way I’m free to explore any experience or opportunity that presents itself.
“The generosity and support of strangers is, after all, a huge part of the message I’m trying to convey by this campaign,” Amanda said.
Her motivation for the walk is to spark a conversation about mental health awareness with anyone that will listen.
“I’ll have a little sign on my backpack encouraging people to ask what I’m up to, and we’ll see where it goes from there.
“Nothing would make me happier than to see this campaign grow so I’m hoping that people might like to come join me for a stroll somewhere along the way,” she said.
A picnic in Fotheringham Park will be held to recognise the end of her walk. It will be followed by a fundraiser at Club Old Bar.
“It should be a brilliant night with a band and loads of prizes.
“We are calling on local businesses to donate prizes, vouchers, goods or services to be either raffled or auctioned off.
“Obviously I’ll be there on the night and am happy to do a quick chat or question and answer if people are interested as well,” Amanda said.
