This follows the preliminary finals played at Taree and Wingham.
Wallamba upset minor premiers Old Bar Barbarians with a 6-5 win after a penalty shoot out. This is the second year the Barbarians have finished on top of the ladder at the end of the season-proper, but failed to make the grand final.
There was a real chance the grand final could have been an all-Old Bar affair, with the club involved in both finals. However, Old Bar Gladiators were also knocked out of the race when defeated by the Warriors 1-0 in a tough contest at Wingham.
Cundletown Jets will play Tuncurry-Forster in the women’s grand final on Friday evening at the zone field. The Jets were too strong for Old Bar in the preliminary final, winning 4-0. Tuncurry-Forster had a 3-1 result over Wingham in the other match.
