The Football Mid North Coast Premier League is down to the business end of the season with the opening round of semi-finals. Taree Wildcats finished fourth after the regular season with Wallis Lake fifth. The sides matched up in the elimination semi-final played at Omaru Park in Taree. Winner of the match heads to the minor semi-final on Saturday September 9 while the loser can start to make arrangements for season 2018.

Wallis Lake, the defending premier league champions, have been a hoodoo side for the Wildcats in recent years. Taree was also involved in the reserve grade game against Port United.
The preliminary semi-final featuring Port Saints against Port United was played at Wayne Richards Park at Port Macquarie.
