Old Bar under seven Trojans soccer side played at Old Bar against the Barbarians. They all had lots of fun.

Old Bar Barbarians 11s played against Taree Wildcat Leopards at Taree on Saturday with four players out they borrowed from the Old Bar Gladiators. They fought hard to come away with a great result.
Player of the match went to Harley Clarke who played a great game even with his injured knee.
Manager’s choice award went to the two boys who stepped up and filled in from the Gladiators - Jackson Devaney and Riley Doherty.

First game of the qualifying finals and the Old Bar Barbarian 13s played the Halliday's Point Barracudas in an exciting match at Diamond Beach. The first half was very suspenseful being dominated by the ultra-confident Barracudas team, as they were coming off the back of a win against the top of the ladder Pacific Palms Panthers. Although dictating the play, a few attempts by the Cudas at the barbs net failed to make the mark. Then all of a sudden and out of the blue the Barbs pulled a swifty out of their hat to score the first goal of the game. The Barbarians were on a high, but unfortunately that high was short lived as the Barracudas soon pushed back and brought the score to one all by half time. The second half had the Barbarians run ragged as the Hallidays team scored another two goals bringing the score to 3-1 by the full time whistle. This weeks Jack & Co player of the week award goes to Jaimee Yarrol. Jaimee plays from the heart, delivers the best game she can every week and has come a long way since her first game at the start of the season. Jaimee's small stature is no indication of the courage inside, and she earned the award for commitment displayed in defence, not backing down in the face of adversity, taking a massive hit from a player near twice her size, getting up, dusting off and straight back into play without a murmur of complaint.

A huge congratulations to our 16 Barbarians who accounted for Tinonee 2-0 in the elimination final.
The Barbs were at full strength and pressed Tinonee from the get-go.
Ten minutes before half time a Nick Duggan cross got a deflection from the Tinonee backline to take the Bar to 1-0. Second half saw a rejuvenated Tinonee fire up but our backs were able to thwart the pressure.
The Barbs became relentless in attack and some dire saves & few off the crossbar kept the score at 1-0 until Jarrod Smith sealed the match with a goal 15 minutes from full time!
The team will now take on Wingham in another do or die match this Saturday.
