Unfortunately, Zone 11 were unsuccessful even though a few good results were achieved. It should be remembered that the cream of the NSW junior bowlers were on show and no doubt our representatives will have gained from their experience. The weather conditions were quite extreme on the first day, conditions which our guys would not have encountered. I am sure that their bowls will illustrate improvement following this experience.

Meanwhile two of our stalwarts will soon be too old for the junior ranks. Sophie Hawkins and Lewis Williams have been part of our zone juniors for some six to seven years and have contributed to the progress of our small group. The junior committee and the zone wish them every success in their future avocations and bowls activities.
