The Cats finished last in first and reserve grades the previous winter, with the reserve grade not winning a game.
Bartley said his job was to change the club’s culture if the Wildcats were going to work their way out of the doldrums. Last year the Cats were semi-finalists in both grades and going into the last round of the premier league season on Saturday August 26 Taree sits in the five in both grades.
Bartley also coaches the Football Mid North Coast under 18 side in the Women’s Premier League and this alone is a massive commitment. He was the guest on Friday Sport Talk where he spoke about his time with the Wildcats and his immediate coaching future with the club and in the WPL, and a few other things as well.
