Police arrest teenagers for pushbike theft at Lansdowne

About 5.30pm on Friday, August 4 police say three young persons were travelling past a home in Lansdowne where they saw two pushbikes on the veranda.

Police say two young males aged 15 and 17 years walked onto the veranda and stole the two bikes. The owner was alerted and gave chase and apprehended the young persons a short distance down the road.

Police attended and the young persons were conveyed to Taree Police Station where they declined to be interviewed and were charged with stealing the pushbikes.

They will appear in Taree Children's Court in September.
