Australian Ballet on sale!
General public tickets to the Australian Ballet’s stunning production of Giselle are now on sale for the performances on Wednesday October 18 and Thursday October 19. Until now, only Friends of the MEC have been able to purchase tickets, so now is your chance to secure seats to this much anticipated event, which will definitely sell out. The last time the Australian Ballet visited us with their brilliant performance of “Don Quixote” several years ago, the house was packed and many patrons were disappointed because they left it too late to book before the show sold out. Don’t let that be you this time. You can go online at themec.com.au, come in and see us at the Manning Entertainment Centre Box Office, call us on 6592 5466 during Box Office hours (Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 1pm) or pop into Stockland Forster to grab your tickets for what promises to be an unforgettable show.

Andrea Rowsell show
Our local up and coming ballet stars will be showcasing their talents this Saturday when the Andrea Rowsell Academy of Dance presents its Presentation Day performance. Students will demonstrate their achievements in class this year, and it’s traditionally a day when awards and prizes are announced. Our favourite part is always seeing the “budding ballerinas” who are the tiny tots just beginning their journey in dance. For many of them it’s their first experience on “the big stage” and it is always an absolute delight to witness their big moment. The show starts at 2pm and duration is about two and a half hours.
Legally Blonde Jr.
Based on the smash hit motion picture and the award-winning Broadway musical, Legally Blonde Junior - The Musical is a fabulously fun journey of self-empowerment and expanding horizons. Legally Blonde Jr. follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. She befriends classmate, Emmett, and hairdresser, Paulette, along the way, finding books and looks aren't mutually exclusive. She soon realises that law may be her natural calling after all. Legally Blonde Junior features large, energetic dance numbers with a talented cast of performers from Port Macquarie Performing Arts. Join us on Sunday the August 20 at 3pm for a barrel load of fun.
