The carnival was made up of students from Harrington Public School, Upper Lansdowne Public School, Lansdowne Public School, Moorland Public School, Hannam Vale Public School, Coopernook Public School and Johns River Public School. 

The students participated in events such as shot put, long jump and distance running in the hope of qualifying for zone competition against other schools in the district.

Each school had previously held individual carnivals.
