Bream and luderick are bring well from the river wall. The bream are taking mullet strips and luderick are feeding on green weed.
A few small mulloway have been landed and a big fish lost. It took a live bait at night on high tide.
There are still a few flathead to be caught in the lower part of the river but up-river will yield more fish.
Tailor are plentiful on Crowdy beach. Bags of fish are being taken on baits.
There is a spit going out into the ocean on the northern end of Manning Point beach. A few anglers have been fishing there in the early morning and late in the evening. Good catches of tailor and mulloway have been made.
Outside anglers have been restricted by the rough seas, but on the good days snapper have been caught on the northern and southern grounds.
Flathead have been boated on the drift but no surface fish have appeared for several weeks.
