The Lansdowne Community Hall Markets are on tomorrow, Saturday July 29 at the hall. The doors open at 8am until noon.

There will be craft stalls, cakes and slices, plants, pre-loved items, and lots more. Heath Watts will be there with his beautiful music to entertain everyone. Morning tea available from the hall kitchen and sausage sandwiches and cold drinks from the barbecue.
The markets are a good social time to get together with friends and neighbours. Stall holders are most welcome. If you would still like to book a stall or would like further information please phone Val on 6556 7261 or Rhonda on 0418 920 984.
The markets are run to raise funds for the ongoing maintenance of the hall.
Players in preparation
The Upper Lansdowne Players 2017 Spring Season will feature “When did you last see your trousers? by Ray Galton and John Antrobus and directed by Jodie Lee.
While Howard is asleep in his lover’s flat, a burglar steals his suit, so how to get home to his wife? Mayhem results, with his Danish au-pair, the Home Secretary, a randy constable who doubles as a flasher, and a singing telegram Gorilla all involved.

Lansdowne school news
Well done to the Lansdowne school 3/4 and K/1/2 students for their participation in the Rube Goldberg Challenge last term. This challenge involved entries from schools within our district. Both classes created some amazing machines to complete the challenge.
Congratulations to K/1/2 who were awarded second place in the challenge and have won some great prizes for their class.
Woolworths Earn & Learn program has commenced and the Lansdowne Public School has a box outside of Woolworths to place your stickers in or you can drop them off at the school office.
The school would appreciate that our community to please collect the stickers for them.
The Lansdowne School students are busy rehearsing for a special performance at their Education Week Assembly next week.
Our open Day on Wednesday August 2 will begin at 1pm with open classrooms where parents and friends will be able to spend some time in the classroom with their children and look at the amazing work they are doing. Please stay and enjoy a picnic with your child before the assembly. Tea and coffee will be available for adults
The Lansdowne P & C will be holding a cake stall and barbecue at the Bunnings Father’s Day family fun night on Thursday August 31.
Please come along and support our local school and at the same time enjoy a great evening of some free fun for the Family from 6pm to 8pm.
Some of the fun will include face painting, jumping castle, Barney the Balloon man, Lucky door prizes and lots more, don’t forget to enter the colouring in competition for your chance to win something awesome for Dad. The barbecue will be running from 4pm.
Club’s new management
The Lansdowne Bowling and Recreation Club Bistro is under new management.
The Lumberjack Bistro provides affordable meals for the whole family with two fully qualified chefs. And on August 11 the club will have a night out for the ladies with “Bodyheat’ appearing.
