The Pirates have a big day on and off field field on Saturday at the Old Bar Reserve. This will be the club’s annual Close the Gap fundraising day.
Former Saint George stars Ricky Walford and Nathan Blacklock along with Australian women’s rugby sevens and league representative Bo de la Cruz will be in attendance. There’ll be numerous activities at the ground including face painting and a jumping castle while there’ll be a function and auction that evening at Club Old Bar.
The Pirates also have to beat Wauchope and hope Wingham go down to Macleay Valley to claim a berth in the Group Three top five.
