If you know anyone who has children starting school next year, please ask them to contact the school so they can be part of this valuable transition program.
Education Week will run from Monday, July 31 to Friday, August 4.
To celebrate the week, Lansdowne School will be having an open day on Wednesday, August 2.
Education Week activities will commence at 1.00pm with open classrooms. A picnic lunch will be held, followed by a special assembly at 2.15pm.
Garage sale on election day
The Lansdowne School P and C will hold a garage sale and cake stall on Saturday, September 9.
Donations of usable saleable items would be most appreciated.
If anyone has anything that they would like to donate, please see Margaret in the school canteen on Mondays and Fridays or phone 6556 7146.
It can be new or used items from DVDs, CDs, clothing, jewellery, books, toys, ornaments, cakes, plants, craft, tools, produce or anything that the P and C is able to sell.
Sausage sandwiches, cold drinks, tea and coffee will also be for sale.
Community markets are on
Spaces are still available if anyone would like to book a stall at the next Lansdowne Community Hall markets, to be held on Saturday, July 29.
The markets will be held at the Lansdowne Hall and surrounding grounds.
There will be various stalls selling everything from fresh home baked cakes, slices and jams, plants, craft, second-hand goods and lots more. Heath Watts will be there entertaining with his beautiful music.
Morning tea will be available from the kitchen and the barbecue will be available to purchase one of Ron’s great sausage sandwiches. The market opens at 8.00am and will conclude at 12pm.

The Upper Lansdowne Hall Committee will be holding a garage/car boot sale at the Upper Lansdowne Hall on Saturday, September 16 from 8am.
