Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, young Peter Parker (Tom Holland), returns home to live with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), and tries to fall back into his normal daily routine and studies at school with his best friend Ned (Jacob Batalon), after being told by Tony Shark (Robert Downey Jr) that he is not yet ready to join the Avengers.

Peter however is distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man and over the objections of his Aunt May, Peter quits his school’s academic decathlon team in order to spend more time focusing on his ‘internship’ which is a cover for his crime fighting activities as Spider Man.
Peter chances on a group selling alien powered weapons which are developed and trafficked by the evil Adrian Toomes (Michael Keaton), who emerges as a new villain and threatens everything that Peter holds dear.
